Plant experiments are exciting for students because they have to water and watch their plant as it grows and becomes a flower. They get to have a job each day making sure that they work to have their plant grow by watering it and making sure it has sunlight. Using a clear cup so that the students can see the roots is a great idea as students are more excited when they can see the changes happening. Sunflowers are a great thing to grow as they grow fairly quickly and students seem to enjoy the end results.
